Thriving Thirty

Alhamdulillah, praise be to Allah, I am still alive on the day when I turned 30 :)

I didn't have the intention to celebrate my 30th birthday this year. Probably just a small celebration with my family and some close friends. I truly didn't expect my workmates would throw a cake on the morning of my birthday and another one in the afternoon. To add the awesome feelings, my close friends; DangDutts, WangDutts and KidDutts had a barbeque night to wrap up the day. How blessed!

And today, I am expecting another cake from my family...and a surprise from DH *haha*
Strictly no diet regime is to be followed yesterday and today as it can start tomorrow. *LOL*
Indeed I feel so blessed to be surrounded by warm loving colleagues, besties and family.

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY ME!!! :)

I give myself a layout by way of celebrating it.

~* 30 Wishes *~

I never make a list of what I want in my life. I don't even like making groceries list. Its so hard to follow! LOL! Towards the extend before another decade of my birthday, I am now trying to make a wish list before I reach 40...i.e if I am still around. :)

The list is to be anon for now...will share it once I finish listing them out *hehe*

This LO is created based on Pencillines Sketch 212 by the wonderful talented Sasha Farina. She is one of my scrapper idol from Singapore. Her work simply amazing! I truly like her style. Thanks Sasha for being a beautiful inspirations!!

To end, wishing all Muslims Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha. Will be making a round visits to families today although DH is at work and picking a Qurban meat later.

Thank you Allah for this wonderful life (though it is only a temporary term) that you have given to us.... May Allah guide us to a better life now and Thereafter. Amin.

Love yous ♥

H.S.

......means Happy Scrappers!

Its a nickname we called ourselves the local scrappers in our little hub born out of a home-based SB shop called Scrapbook Delights. Aaahhh...its been a while the owner, Ka Jazz is not opening her shop but totally excited to learn she will be having a sale soon!! YAY!

So the crop gathering was absolutely a blast! We created, we chatted, we makan (means 'EAT' so expect the foodies galore) etc. So anyway, the hostess, organised 2 LO challenges and 1 Make and Take. However we only managed to do the scrappy challenge; a photo challenge where the hostess provided us photos of the same subject and all scrappers were expected to pull out a LO out of it! Surprisingly, the photo is a group photo of the almost complete Happy Scrappers taken sometime ago. All of us did our best to scrap and it was a bit challenging at first since everybody was saying "mojoless" mode. Nonetheless, the results were fantastic and love the thought that everyone has their own style and interpretations!

Here's what I had to pull:

1st Challenge LO

~* Rainbow of Creative Hearts *~
(Pix credit taken from Ka Jazz FB)

A combination of Webster's Pages and Sassafras Lass are simply adorable sweetness! I absolutely love how it turned out! My way of scrapping style is the more colour it has, the more satisfying I get! *hehe*

2nd Challenge LO

~* For a Clear Vision, Just Look Ahead *~

A challenge to produce a LO using the stashes we swapped among us. My swap partners are Mac, Alin, Ka Jazz, Byby & Jani J. The girl skull is really mind blowing to use, but cut out the skull and replaced it with a photo of DD with her so-called 'Lady Gaga' shades *hehe*

Til then, sleep is what I need now. Goodbye Sunday, see you Monday :)

Daydream

Its Sunday and DH has to work at noon. He said he will be working late. I got so bored but too lazy to go out. Even DD is in and out of the room because she has 'lots' of things to do, like bugging me, making mess in the room, the bed everywhere! But worry not, I am fine with that. Of course the nagging will start, yelling at her and all, but its all about LOVE :)

At this point, I started to dream away. Lots of things and wishes in my mind, I shall just share them in my next post yes? ;)

I am in a creative rut today but still browsing through the regular scrapbook sites just to kill time. Groovie Cover never failed to revive my energy. Played along with their November cover here..... here's my layout share:-

~* I Love Daydreaming *~

The title was actually the result from my boredom LOL! I was inspired by the colors and the tiny stars shown on the book cover. Thanks Groovie Covers for the challenge! Love this although this is probably the simplest LO I've done this year.

The PPs and the chipboard heart is from Kiki Art, the Kraft "i Love" is from Elle's Studio, bright American Craft Thickers chipboards are my fav, and of course the red Doodlebug lettering stickers.

Have a nice day you ♥

SIC November is UP!

If you haven't check out the Scrap|Inspire|Create challenge for November, you might wanna check it out HERE.

Never failed, it is another fun and interesting challenge to play.

SIC called it Landmark/Scenery Challenge.
  • Create a scrapbook layout of a landmark or a scenery. See!! Simple, isn't it?
  • No person should be the subject of the photo (so if it's a picture with people in it, that's ok but not a person standing out as the focus)
  • Challenge Twist: You have to include journaling on this layout and the journaling is to be on a little accordion album as part of the layout element.

Now sharing my take on the challenge. Its fun! *teehee*

~* Jakarta '10 *~

Photo taken while we were on a business trip to Jakarta, Indonesia last month. It was my dream to visit this city since long time ago and the moment we landed, I fell in love with it! Admitted that Jakarta has a moderate air pollution but somehow it felt great. Probably another visit to Bandung next time with my family? ;)

**will add a photo showing the accordion album journaling soon**

Meanwhile sharing few shots of random Jakarta.
I miss that city!

See you soon Indonesia! ♥

Have I Said I Love You Yet?

Is November really here???? Whew. Time passed by so quick yet I am still struggling with my weight! Haven't been to my Zumba class for 3 weeks in a row now. My appetite has been really "good" hence heavy warning sound! Oh Goshhhh!! Will be back to Zumba again by next week with my zumba buddies. YAY!!I have been in a good mojo lately, thanks to my Happy Scrappers Crop Date last weekend! Will do a separate post on that soon. It was GOOD FUN and can't wait for our next crop! Yippeee!!! :D

In the meantime, just want to share with you with my recent layout which I just completed it last night. Based on Scrap-It-Lah November Challenge and before that, KUDOS to the SIL team and DT Nadia for her excellent idea contributing to this month's challenge- FLAGGY CHALLENGE. Hop on HERE to know more!

I created my page based on the flag of Brunei (my home country) as seen below:

& here's the interpretation of the flag:

At first, I got stuck putting on a title on this LO. The photo has been developed long ago and only now I managed to use and scrapped about it.... The easiest way would be via Google. *hehe* In the end, I am glad I used "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You?" as its chosen title :)

So in loveeee with my little angel!! ♥

Ciao :)
